How do you remove trees without damaging my property?

This is by far the most common question we receive, and rightfully so. It would suck to hire a tree service provider to end up having no place to live, because they caused the tree to fall in the wrong direction.
In order to have a successful tree fall down, we use cables and ropes to hold the tree and provide a force for the tree to fall in the intended direction of travel. We make special cuts in the tree so that it tilts more towards the correct side, as well as have machines to provide counterforce to the tree. When we have thing set up exactly how we want it, then we are able to take down the tree and put it into the shredder. After wards, you are able to keep the wood chips or mulch. In addition, we are able to further take down the stump, if you so prefer. More information is in the Stump Removal section.

How do you get very high in trees without hurting yourself?

Hendersonville Tree Service hires only skilled arborists. We do not play around with novices who just want to climb a tree under our company policy. When you are in the air as high as 200 ft, we are not able to have just curious people climbing to the point where they may break their spine if they slip. It is because we value their safety. Before any worker climbs any tree, they go through a training process that includes the basics of tree climbing and tree safety. Once our arborists pass our own internal tests and are certified and licensed by the International Society of Arboriculture to climb, then they will be able to climb. No one climbs without safety gear, because it only takes one bad fall for someone to be in a wheelchair for life, and that is not a risk we will take with our crew.

How Often Should I Prune My Own Trees

We do not recommend you prune your own trees, because not all pruning is helpful. Pruning does not equal good. Too much pruning may leave it "exposed" to threats, such as pests, insects, and fungal infections. An infection attacking a naked tree may actually kill the entire tree. Pruning in the right amount at the right time for the right reason is helpful and is able to increase the productivity of your yield. Too much may kill them. This may happen even with experienced arborists, though we have fungicide and microbial agents to kill them.
If you do decide to prune your own trees, it should not be fewer than one year, and that may be considered excessive. Pruning and trimming is able to help your trees become healthier, and we want your trees to last long. By allowing the tree branches to be cut off when they are dying, that allows nutrients to be diverted to healthier plants, causing a greater harvest.

How do I know if my tree is infected?
You most likely do not know if your tree is infected, especially if it is with oak wilt. It is even hard for professional arborists to make a diagnosis of it, if you go based off one look. It is much easier to tell if you know the pattern of movement. Even then, it may be a tough call to make because many other microbial diseases may act similarly to it. If previous arborists gave treatment for other ailments, it may cause the presentation of the oak wilt to seem different. If we are unsure about the diagnosis, we will not throw more fungicide or microbial agents at it. Instead, we will just do watchful waiting until we are sure about the diagnosis.
